Photograph caption dated June 28, 1957 reads, "Speedy Miss Todd will be one of the favorites to win the filly-mare championship tomorrow at Hollywood Park in the $35,000 added Variety Handicap. George Taniguchi, shown aboard, will pilot Rukin Jelks' swift miss in the mile and one-furlong classic. Miss Todd carries 115 pounds."
