Description
Photograph of a horse-drawn float in La Fiesta Parade, Los Angeles, ca.1906. The horses are faced to the left, both darkly-colored. Behind them, a carriage stands decorated from cabin to wheels with flowers. A man in a white suit sits in the cabin and holds a whip. A woman in a lightly-colored dress sits next to him, holding a parasol over them. Several onlookers, most of whom are young boys, stands at the far right. The C. Rossner Furniture building is visible in the background. Its store front is decorated in an American flag motif and its sign sports the number "114". Several screens have been pulled up from their windows, but the words "Crockery", "Carpets", "Matting", and "Couches" can still be made out on them.
