Looking east on 5th Street and Grand Avenue, the Biltmore Hotel and Biltmore Theater are seen on the right. A marquee halfway down the block reads "Biltmore Presents [illegible]". Cars can be seen parked east bound on 5th Street along the hotel, while other cars are parked northbound on Grand Avenue. The corner dirt lot (seen on the bottom right) would eventually become part of Central Library. The Biltmore Hotel, built in 1923 by architects Schultze & Weaver, has 1,500 rooms and is 14 stories high. The main address is listed as 506 S. Grand Avenue, but the eastern entrance address is 515 S. Olive Street.
