Description
A photo of a group of attendees of the annual Southern District Jr. YBL (Young Buddhist League) Conference. There are 6 signs being held by people in the group reading names, including "Los Angeles", "San Diego", "Senshin", "West LA", "Gardena", and "Pasadena." The caption at the bottom of the photo reads "2nd. Annual So. District Jr. YBL Conference September 14, 1952 - Los Angeles."
The Nishimura and Nagata Family Papers contains items relating to the history of the Pasadena Buddhist Church, including photos of events and groups associated with the church like the Pasadena Buddhist Women's Association, the Young Buddhist League (BL), various Buddhist Church conferences, Judo competitions, and Kendo competitions. Materials also relate to the incarceration of the Nagata family at the Heart Mountain incarceration camp in Cody, Wyoming and include photographs of the family.
