Description
"Potato clubs were formed with high school-aged 4-H members todemonstrate improved erosion control techniques and use of certified seed. W.E. Bragga of the Two Rock district tested Burbank and British Queen potatoes in his test plots. With four rows of each, he got 1,286 pounds of Burbanks and 1,356 pounds of British Queen. The British Queen is a better yielder but the Burbank fetches a higher price. Mr. McCammon is also testing a new potato developed from seed by Jim Farley of Fallon. This potato looks promising." M.B.
