Photograph caption dated November 28, 1964 reads, "Final touches to Gift Fair items are made by members of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the Knollwood Methodist Church of Granada Hills. From left are Mmes. Raymond Lant, Jack Cardenas and Roy Ashcraft, all of Granada Hills. The group's first Christmas Tea and Gift Fair will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 5 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Knowlton, 17335 Rinaldi St. Items for sale will include dolls clothes, boutique items, aprons, baked goods, candy, books. The children may see cartoons while mother shops. This will be the first major project of the group. Proceeds will aid some of the society's missionary programs both at home and abroad. Others assisting Mrs. Jay Steward, president, and Alfred Krakow, chairman, are Mmes. Donald Dill, Lynn Flaherty, Wolfgang Meier, Robert Batista, Robert Perry, William Winstanley, Randall Wittenberg, James Corbett and Donald McDermott. The public is invited and tickets will be sold at the door."
