Photograph caption dated February 19, 1958 reads, "Mrs. A. Ronald Button, of Hollywood and Sacramento, right, wife of California's treasurer, is presented the Star Spangled Banner to fly on her home by Miss Mary Wooley, of North Hollywood, center, chairman of the Star Spangled Banner project of the California Federation of Republican Women. Federation officials, headed by Mrs. R. G. Kenyan of San Marino, left, president, hope to make every street in California an avenue of American flags on every state and national holiday."
