Photograph of a view looking west from the summit of Modjeska Grade, showing a woman and her dogs at the road-bend, El Toro, 1939. Nine wooden posts are spaced equally along the edge of dirt road pictured at center. A backlit woman leans up against the leftmost pole, while three dogs of different breeds situate themselves around her feet. To the left, the road opens out to a tall hill which tumbles down into a valley created by the mountains in the background.
