Description
Surveyed under the direction of Capt. H. W. Halleck, Director Genl, by Sherman Day. Topographic map is a plan of the New Almaden Mine with building locations. Shows natural features; roadways; miners dwellings; spring; shed; stables; smith shop; carpenter; dressing floor; powder building; and offices of the clerk engineer, and captain. Also shows the new and old roads to the hacienda. The "Main Tunnel" (a.k.a. "old tunnel") is drawn as lines in the left center, the center two lines are the ore car rails.
