View of two men standing on each side of an enormous fish. Man on right (identified as E.M. Backus) has mustache, wears three-piece suit with watch chain in pocket, derby hat; holds fishing pole with reel; man on left (identified as Claude Wickman) wears suspenders, shirt, cap; holds gaffing hook. Handwritten on photograph: Wt. 157 lbs. Time 20 min. At Catalina, Sept. 19th, 1903. Newspaper caption identifying E.M Backus and Claude Wickman in lower frame. Santa Catalina Island; 1903.
