Description
Photograph of the construction of the San Pedro breakwater, ca.1900. There is a row of boulders stacked on each other jutting out into the water. On the right side of these rocks is a set of railroad tracks, and on these tracks is a large crane. There are wooden boards around the boulders at left, and two wheels on rods stick out from these rocks. The picture is taken at an angle, so the horizon appears to rise to the right.
