Description: A four page letter from Peter SooHoo to Frank L. Shaw, Mayor of Los Angeles, reviewing the many plans developed and cast aside for the development of a new Chinatown to replace the Old Chinatown being torn down. SooHoo discusses the roadblocks, the pitfalls of these plans, and the determination of the Chinese-American community to succeed in building their own Chinatown.
