Description
Caption: "A leaf from a Psalter-Hours in Latin on vellum. Gothic textura quadrata script in dark brown ink, in single column of 15 lines, rubrics in red, with versal initials of alternating blue and liquid gold, complimented with delicate red and purple penscroll decorations and line endings of blue and penwork. The Book of Hours had as its prototype the Psalter-Hours, which contained both the Psalms for the Canonical Hours, and the Little Office of the Virgin."
