Photograph of an exterior view of the Washington Hotel at Monterey, ca.1890. The three-story building is constructed from adobe, and stucco has fallen off the walls in numerous places. Stairs and three levels of covered porches are visible near a chimney at the far right end. An small upsidedown boat is visible on the bottom porch. A wagon or cart sits nearby at right.
