Description
Several members of the Native Daughters of the Golden West pose for a photograph during the group’s 62nd Grand Parlor session on June 21, 1948. Subjects stand in two rows, dressed in white dresses and holding bouquets. In the background are the words “Gold Centennial” and “Grand Parlor.” The primary attraction at the statewide convention held at the Masonic Temple was the election of the group's next President. The Native Daughters were added in 1886 to the Native Sons of the Golden West, a group dedicated to preserving and interpreting California’s Anglo-European heritage.
