Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Opened on June 10, 1938 by the Hollywood Turf Club, Hollywood Park was renamed Betfair Hollywood Park on March 13, 2012. It was a thoroughbred and standardbred race course. The racetrack was closed after the final race on December 22, 2013. Photograph caption dated May 11, 1965 reads "Thoroughbred racing like this will be the order of the day tomorrow at Hollywood Park when a 55-day meeting opens. Action like this will begin at 1:45 as the finest compete for 4.3 million in purses."
