Photograph caption dated August 23, 1956 reads "After two lengths of pipeline are put in place, welders Charlie Gorham and Eddie Peel connect them with arc welders. Despite large 30-inch diameter of pipes, workers have only one-eighth of an inch tolerance in placing ends together." The article partially reads "A new multi-million dollar pipe-line will soon connect the San Fernando Valley directly to Texas natural gas fields. The pipeline system is a Southern California Gas Company project."; See images #00129413 through #00129416 for all photos in this series.
