Description
Aerial view of U.C.L.A., as seen from the Goodyear blimp. View was taken after the construction of the original quadrangle was completed on the Westwood campus. The view is from directly over the bridge, over which students passed from Hilgard Avenue to the campus. In the center of the photo is Powell Library. This building was built in 1927-29, and designed by architect George W. Kelham. Royce Hall, on the right, was built in 1928-29 and designed by Allison and Allison, Architects. Both buildings were designed in a northern Italian Romanesque style. Photo dated April 28, 1930.
