Pictured in 1946 are support facilities of Lester Motors Ford at 900 Thirteenth Street. The photograph was taken from 1300 I Street, where the business’s showroom was located. This location formed the culmination of Lester’s business efforts. In the same year that this photograph was taken, 17 years after arriving in Sacramento from Los Cruces, New Mexico, Lester passed away in his sleep at his Capitol Avenue home. Three years later, the business was sold. In the background is the eastern face of the Elk’s Building on 921 Eleventh Street. To the left of the photograph is the location of George and Al’s Used Cars at 914 Thirteenth Street.
