Photograph caption dated November 18, 1949 reads "The popular West Valley Civic Chorus, directed by Harriet Holt Johnson, will be guest artists at the Van Nuys Community Sing Monday night at the Van Nuys High School auditorium. The group has become known not only in concert appearances but through television programs. Monday's performance, open to the public, will feature folk songs and colorful arrangements of other works. The chorus is supervised by the Los Angeles City Bureau of Music."
