Description
This painting of an unknown location in the mountains depictes a waterfall and several Native American figures. It was painted by Mame Russell, whose family owned a ranch in Milpitas at the turn of the 19th century. When the Russell Ranch house was sold in 1938, the painting stayed with it, and the Rodgers family has been passing it down ever since.
