This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "1907. Market Street looking east from 5th St. Note automobile flocking by itself." View looks northeast on Market from the corner of 5th. The sidewalks are crowded. Horse-drawn conveyances are everywhere, along with a lone automobile. A line of streetcars can be seen approaching Powell Street. The Flood and Phelan buildings are visible on the left side of Market. The Emporium, "California's largest, America's grandest store," is seen on the right.
