Description
At the National Charity League and Ticktockers benefit luncheon on January 27, 1951, Saks Fifth Ave. and Cole of California were awarded "The Thing" for their leadership in fashion. Pictured are: Barbara Freking in the winning Cole fashion called "King Solomon's Mines;" Fred Cole, president of Cole of California; Lilith Roberts in the winning Saks fashion by Sophie called "A Double Life," and Jack Mathess, General Manager of Saks.
