Description
Photograph of an exterior view of an unidentified adobe, Los Angeles, 1900. A complex of buildings with to the right of a dusty, flat lot stand with a long adobe facing the street. Stairs lead to the upper level of the adobe at left, behind a dilapidated section of picket fence. The roof is shingled and has extended eaves that shade the sidewalk. A tree obscures part of the roof to the left. The rest of the adjoined buildings are visible in the left background, while more, non-adobe houses are visible in the right background in front of hills. The road is unpaved. Photoprint reads "Castelar Street, west side, looking north".
