Description
Photograph of men surveying on a street corner, ca.1930. Three men stand to the right of center on the edge of a sidewalk. The man on the right stands facing the left with a book in one hand and a writing utensil in the other as he looks down. The man in the center appears to look through the eyepiece of an instrument attached to a tripod with his back to the viewer. The man on the left stands facing right while he holds an umbrella pole with both hands. The men wear slacks and dress shirts with shiny shoes. A railroad track is visible in the background while telephone poles line the tracks and houses sit behind them. A street runs from the foreground to the background while a specialty bread shop with a sign above its doorway can be seen on the left.
