Photograph caption dated September 16, 1961 reads, "The Studio City Post No. 467 of the American Legion served as hosts at an 'old fashioned American rally' Friday night at Studio City Playground, Beeman and Rye streets. Participating in the activities are (from left) Ron Ellensohn, field secretary to Mayor Samuel W. Yorty; Lew Bornstein, 5432 Troost Ave., North Hollywood, chairman of the event, and John Russell, TV's 'Lawman' and honorary mayor of Studio City."
