Photograph caption dated October 29, 1959 reads, "Patrolmen Richard Kunkle, left, and Don Sanders, Burbank Police Department, give safety pointers during Bicycle Safety Assembly to Deborah Hepner, 10, and Bruce Berger, 10. Series of assemblies are being held as joint operation of city's Police Traffic Division, headed by Lt. Al Stariha; Council of Parents and Teachers, headed by Mrs. Robert E. Hiller, and Unified School District, under James C. Derrick chairman, Safety Committee Elementary Education Council. Project is for fourth grade students."
