Photograph caption dated March 29, 1965 reads "On the right, finishing touches are being placed on a poster by Kathy Higashida, 11; Cheryl Tilley, 11; Mrs. Frances Cirino, teacher, and Scot Fishkin, 10. The posters will help explain how the very young are learning to distinguish geometric shapes, to measure time and weather and to count objects in a one-to-one relationship, also the definitions of mathematical symbols and money equivalents, finding place values and number properties of sets, the commutativity and associativity, inverse operations and number patterns." The school is in Mission Hills. See images 00147664 through 00147666 for all photos in this series.
