Description
Traditionally, display signs ("show cards") for retail stores were hand-lettered by show card writers - a now-forgotten profession. The Line-O-Scribe was a brand of small printing presses marketed to store owners which allowed them to use in-house labor to replace professional show card writers and their lettering with store-made typeset printed signage.
