Description
Photograph of F. A. Morgan's Water Wagon at Kinyon Mine near Randsburg, ca.1897. Twenty-one men are posed in front of two large, open, horse-drawn wagons. The men are all wearing long-sleeved shirts and broad-brimmed hats, and many are leaning on the wagons. The wagons are filled with large barrels of water. In the background, two large wooden buildings are visible, and in the distance is a brush-covered ridge. Morgan's wagons obtained water in Indian Wells and hauled it fourteen miles, where it was sold for two dollars for a fifty-gallon barrel.
