Photograph caption dated January 26, 1963 reads, "Four teen-agers from North Valley YMCA will be delegates to the 15th annual California YMCA Model Legislature in Sacramento Feb. 8, 9, and 10, where they will introduce a bill to lengthen the school year from 175 day to 195 days. Three representatives, (left to right), Alan Whitney, 16, senator; Diana Johnson, 15, delegate-in-training, and Don True, 16, delegate-in-training, practice parliamentary procedure with adviser, Gary Kuenzli. East Valley YMCA also plans to send two delegates."
