Photograph of "what takes place in our Bachelot Hall whenever we have a gas drill. At the sound of a bell the students leave their classrooms, those going home (if they live within ten minutes' walking distance) being the first out. All the others proceed to their designated air raid shelter. When the fire triangle is sounded (it is the gas drill signal) all who have masks put them on immediately and then proceed quickly to church. Youngsters who don't have a mask go as quickly as they can to the Hall where the special First Aid Squad prepare a soda solution into which they dip each child's towel. The child then covers his face completely as the girls give them places in the Hall."
