Description
Serial No. 139. According to Radio's Master Encyclopedia of 1935-1936, the 1554 is a "triode of moderate power adaptable to broadcast and commercial use. The grid connection is made to a side-arm. Tube is suitable for operation at frequencies as high as 60 megacycles. Filament 11 volts, 22.5 amperes. Plate dissipation 750 watts. Amplification constant 14.5. Plate impedance 1800 ohms. F.C.C. ratings; high level 1000 watts; low level and grid bias 250 watts." A 1946 datasheet describes it as "1000 watt radiation-cooled universal triode, low mu.
