Photo, black and white: Sebastopol Paint Store (Nauman's ?) at 238 Main South Main in Sebastopol The store window advertises house painting, paints, oils, wall paper, signs and paper hanging. A vintage car is parked in front of the store. Circa 1915. Calder Creek runs to the left of the store. Joseph Nauman, born in Germany in 1862, came to Sebastopol with his wife, Emma, in 1909 where he opened his paint store. He was a painter himself and contracted to paint many local buildings.
