Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph caption dated November 27, 1944 reads, "Nab 2 men dressed in women's clothes. James Barlow, left, and August Coy. Their feminine attire failed to fool the police." Officers found Barlow and Coy making love to two men in a parked car at 12th Street and Central Avenue. At the police station, Barlow identified himself as Jeri Ryan, 23, and Coy claimed his name was Irene Paston, 21.
