This 1899 annual report covers the actions of the Germania Building and Loan Association. Founded in February 1873 by Solomon J. Nathan, the concern sought to accumulate "a fund from monthly contributions, fines and premiums on loans sufficient to enable the stockholders and others to purchase real estate and such other property as they deem advantageous."
