Description: California Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. (Democrat) and Lt. Governor Mike Curb (Republican). California Supreme Court is expected to hear agruements in dispute between Brown and Curb as to whether Curb has power to act and make appointments when Brown is out of state. The dispute arose when Curb made a judicial appointment while Brown was out of state. Brown withdrew the nomination when he returned.
