Photograph caption date stamped August 17, 1959 reads, "Duke Smith, of 7016 Park Manor, North Hollywood, president of Valley Quarter Midget Association, gives son, Mike, 10, push to get hay-baler rolling down track at Van Alden and Parthenia streets in Northridge. Mike holds perpetual trophy for winning three consecutive main events."
