The 20 ft. diameter veteran Sequoia gigantea on the Cutler property near Whitaker's Forest was felled in 1947 and worked up into 7700 7-ft. fence posts by a man named Lambeth. It took him 3 months to make the posts which were hauled to the valley during the summer of 1948 where their gross value was about $5,000.00. November, 1948
