Photograph was edited for publication purposes. The Storybook Style building was designed by Harry Oliver and opened in 1922. Photograph caption dated March 31, 1947 reads, "Arrow points to gaping hole in the roof of the Tam O'Shanter Inn. A mysterious explosion reduced this famous restaurant from elegance to ruins."
