Description
Rabbi Sherre Z. Hirsch discusses her book, “We Plan, God Laughs.” She begins by explaining her background as a female rabbi, and how she decided that the rabbinical path was right for her. She says that too many individuals live in the past, and advises that people should move beyond their mistakes and not be afraid to take risks. She describes how many people are more open to talking with their clergy than to a doctor or a psychiatrist. Hirsch talks about the complicated relationship she had with her father when she found out he was dying of cancer. She ends the interview by saying that she is also a spiritual life consultant as well as a rabbi.
