Black and white photograph showing a scene at a women's anniversary event at Ihute in Nigeria in 1938. A group of women and girls stand in the village in front of a large banner. The women are in traditional dress, and stand in front of village thatched buildings. This photograph was pasted into one of a series of exercise book albums created by Emily Godfrey, Matron of the Ama Achara Methodist Hospital in southeast Nigeria, run by the Methodist Missionary Society.
