Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Edward G. Robinson, Jr. was born on March 19, 1933 in Los Angeles. He was the son of legendary actor Edward G. Robinson and actress Gladys Lloyd. He was an actor, appearing in a few films and on television series. Robinson, Jr. lead a troubled life and was known for being a playboy. He started drinking as a teenager and got into trouble with the law numerous times after becoming an adult. He eloped at the age of 19, had a daughter, and was divorced a few years later. He was arrested multiple times for charges including check fraud, drunken driving, and assault and robbery. He married twice more and died of a heart attack on February 26, 1974. Photograph caption dated July 21, 1954 reads "Edward G. Robinson Jr. shown with judge Elmder (sic) D. Doyle; says he can produce witnesses to prove alibis." The judge had arranged for Robinson to attend a conference with him an hour every day for counseling in connection with his marital and drinking problems. Robinson used the opportunity at the judge's superior court office to proclaim his innocence against charges of robbing two taxi cab drivers.
