Image of a three-quarter-length portrait of Czech actor Fanny Janauschek (or Francesca Janauschek) holding a parasol umbrella, and wearing a dress with ribbons, a rose and floral corsage, and a necklace and earrings.
Probable date based on printer history; Bencke operated from the 121 South 5th Ave. address from around 1882 until 1888. "H. Bencke, Lith. 121 & 123 South 5th Ave. N.Y."--text, lower left.
