Photograph caption dated January 8, 1958 reads "Shown above is night shot of new four-mile stretch of Ventura Freeway from Kelvin avenue in Woodland Hills to Calabasas. This section of freeway cost $3,600,000. Other major construction scheduled for completion this year includes two-mile section of Hollywood Freeway from Moorpark street to Laurel Canyon boulevard and three-mile section from Sepulveda boulevard to Encino avenue."
