Photograph article dated September 23, 1949 partially reads, "North Hollywood's newest amusement, a 16-lane bowling alley known as Airport Bowl, at Clybourne [sic] Ave. and Vanowen St. opens tonight. The project is the first of a $750,000 building program spearheaded by Murray W. Cox, owner and developer."
