Description: National Youth Administration girls gain work experience in the modern laundry at Rancho Los Amigos, the Los Angeles County home for the indigent aged (later a hospital). The large mangle shown here on December 21, 1939, is but one of the many modern machines which enables the laundry to handle over one million pieces a month.
