Photograph caption dated March 16, 1932 reads, "The newest styles in bathing suits hold sway even on the desert, for these beauties just have built an 'ol' swimmin' hole' in the wash from Tahquitz falls, near Palm Springs. The girls rode horseback from Palm Springs to the pool, splash in the pool, and obtain desert 'sun-tans.' Left to right, Virginia Kami of Los Angeles, Nancy Dern of Toledo, Ohio; Louise Bramlette of Palm Springs and Sally Dern of Toledo."
