Description
Image of the Lord's Prayer interspersed with illustrations of the text; YHWH in Hebrew surrounded by rays and worshipped by kneeling angels at top center; priest in a pulpit, the Eucharist; a debt collector at a home, a man shunning temptation offered by two others, a man cowering before a devil, and two angels with wings outstretched over "Amen" at center; elaborate decorative columns with carvings of Saints Matthew, Luke, Mark, and John at left and right.
Date approximated by cataloger based on publisher history; J. M. Patten was publishing in New Haven in the early 1840s. "New Haven : Published by J.M. Patten ; According to Act of Congress."--text, bottom center margin. "Hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever."--text, center of image.
