Description
Photograph of San Francisco earthquake damage, showing the wholesale district from Donohue's Fountain at Market and Battery Streets, 1906. Fallen bricks lie strewn around the fountain at center. A statue at the fountain's center depicts several men climbing on what appears to be a canon. The building on the left has lost its roof and large portions of its exterior walls. The buildings which line the street on the right into the background have also suffered heavy damage. A crowd of people walk down the street in the background on the right observing the damage.
